Monastery of the Blessed Virgin Platytera – Corfu Town
This monastery is situated in Corfu city not far from the new port. This monastery is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin and, from the architectonic point of view, is constituted of a portico on three sides and a bell tower, with a domed top, that acts as an entrance.
It is famous especially for the works that are inside: there are icons, frescoes and relics of the XVII century realized by Pulakis, Tzanes, Klotza, Kantunis and Kutuzis, some among the most famous iconoclasts and painters of that age.

Monastery of Panagia Vlaherna – Kanoni Corfu
The Vlacherna monastery - It is probably the most well known corfiot landmark, its image comes to mind when talking about Corfu.
The Vlacherena monastery was founded many centuries ago on a little rocky island close to the southern tip of the Kanoni peninsula.

Paleokastritsa Monastery – Paleokastritsa Corfu
The Monastery of Virgin Mary of Paleokastritsa - located 25 kilometers outside of the City of Corfu.
This majestic monastery is home to 8 Greek Orthodox Monks who receive guidance from Bishop Efthimios Thouis.

Monastery of Pantokrator – Mount Pantokrator Corfu
Built on the highest peak of the island, 914 metres. The mountain is named “Pantocrator” after the first church that was built there in the 14th Century.

Monastery of Virgin Mary of Myrtiotissa
The Monastery owes its name, from the icon of Virgin Mary that was found by father Daniel, after a vision he saw, in a cave between myrtles at the same point that the monastery was built later.

Monastery of Agia Paraskevi Kinopiastes.
A traditional village of Middle Corfu, just 10 kilometers from the city and airport, which must visit. The Monastery of St. Euphemia in Anemomylos
This one is among the oldest, has existed since the 15th century. The monastery celebrates twice a year the memory of Saint Euphemia on 11 July and 16 September.

The Monastery of St. Theodore Kanoni ( Stratia )
The monastery founded around 1500. It is located within the Palaiopoleos (archaeological site). To the west of the monastery are the ruins of the ancient Doric temple of Artemis (590-580 BC). The monastery was built on the ruins of an early Christian basilica of the 5th century. For its construction were used materials from both the old Christian church and the ancient pagan.
